In my opinion i think Unit 2 is about how to use, learn and operate computer systems.

unit 2 is about understanding the components of computer systems also been able to recommend computer systems for a business purpose. It is also been able to set up and maintain computer system.
For a pass you’ll have to do quite simple things like explain the purpose of some operating systems but for people trying to get a ditinction it will be harder as you’ll have to do things like explaining and justifying improvements that could be made to a computer system.

Unit 2 is all about enabling the learners to understand the components of a computer and to learn the skills needed to recommend the right systems for the different uses and to set up and use the computer correctly.
In unit 2 you’ll understand the components of computer systems, you’ll also be able to recommend computer systems for different purposes and you’ll also be able to set up and maintain computer systems. Just for a normal pass you’ll do simple work such as explaining the computer hardeare and computer components and for people that require a higher grade such as a distinction will have to explain how software utilities can improve the performance of computer systems.
What’s Unit 2?
Computer Systems
In this unit I will learn about the components of computer systems and develop the skills that will be needed to recommend appropriate systems for business purpose and set up and maintain computer systems.
By the end of this unit I should be able to:
– Understand the components of computer systems.
– Be able to recommend computer systems for a business purpose
– Be able to set up and maintain computer systems.
What each Assignment will involve?
P1) Explain the function of the computer hardware components.
P2) Explain the purpose of operating systems.
P3) Explain the purpose of different software utilities.
P4) Recommend a computer system for a given business purpose.
P5) set up a standalone computer system, installing hardware and software components.
P6) configure a computer system to meet user’s needs.
P7) test a configured computer system for functionally.
P8) undertake routine and maintenance tasks on a standalone computer system.
M1) Compare the features and functions of a different operating system.
M2) Justify choice of computer system to meet a given business purpose.
M3) evaluate the performance of a computer system.
D1) Explain how software utilities can improve the performance of computer systems.
D2) explain and justify improvements that could be made to a computer system.
Unit 2 is all about understanding the different components of a computer and advising businesses on the best computer systems for their purposes.
to acheieve a pass you will have to explain certain things such as decoding the jargon but to achieve a merit or higher you will have to explain in more detail,
we are going to undestand internal system unitcompound which consist on severeal items
Unit two is all about uderstanding the computers from the inside and understanding each part and what role they play in making the computer work. aswell as understanding the external components that work with the computer. I also have to understand what I need to do in order to protect the computer from viruses n how to manage files and put passwords on them and cleaning the computer from viruses and putting firewalls up n etc.
I also have to know how to use computers to promote business and how to use computers for business pupoeses, home entertainment n etc
I also need to know how to maintain my computer by protecting it, upgrading the anti viruse softwares and keeping it from corruoting any files and documents, backing up files and etc.

Understand the components of computer systems
We are going to understand internal system unit compound which consist on several items e.g. processors, specialized cards, graphic cards and many more.
To be able to recommend computer systems for business purposes.
You need to know all the requirements to recommend the computer systems for business purposes you must know all the little details like cost, user requirements, software to be used and more.
To be able to set up and maintain computer systems
You must know all the details of maintaining computer systems and be able to set it up. Must be able to install software, test functions and more.
Unit 2 is all about understanding the different compents also learning all the different skills of a computer.
To acheieve a pass you will have to explain few things such as knowing all the important details of maintaining a computer also if you want to achieve a merit or higher you will have to explain in futher details.
